So in on this idea.  I have a book my MIL gave me that is all about Healthy Crockpot Recipes.  Dragging that one out and seeing what could work.  I do like doing White Chicken Chili in there. mmm...

I like to make black beans (dried) with a jar of salsa and water in the crockpot to use in other recipes.  I am looking for more recipes as ideally we want to use the slow cooker twice a week.

I have a Pontiac G6. I have three boys, with 2 in carseats (one in an infant carrier). I have both carseats by the back doors and my 6 year old can barely squeeze between them.

Before I was a mom I had an "all or nothing" mentality with workouts. Now, I realize that sometimes I just have to grab what little time I have available and just get it done. Every little bit helps. :)

Using your kids in your workout!

Here is a creative way to use your child as part of your workout. He helped me put the weight on so it's only fitting that he help me take it off, right?

Thank you for your comment - I've just found it!  I didn't even know I had my own page (not very computer-savvy, me!)...  It has almost been a year, and I need to get my butt moving!  Maybe you could tell me - are there any other UK bookiebooers?  Just looking at your photo up top of you and your son - I don't think I'll be trying that trick as two of mine are taller than me and my youngest (11 yrs) I haven't been able to lift since she was two!  

 

Look forward to hearing from you - hopefully I'll be able to find my page again sooner this time!

Good morning!  I am a walker but didn't like to carry around bulky hand weights to exercise my upper body.  So, I invented two patented resistance bands that easily clip on and off of the eyelet in any athletic shoe so I can strengthen my biceps, triceps, chest, shoulders, back, chest, waist and legs.  When I finish my walk I just unclip the bands, roll them up and put them in a drawer.  (Go to www.gyminashoe.com to see the bands in action)

"Easier"...hmmmmm....that is all relative! LOL!

I love my boys but I tell you MAN oh MAN they keep me busy! I actually love how active they are though. Between them and hubby it keeps me somewhat motivated to stay active. Between baseball, football, martial arts I spend most of my days at the field. My first two boys are 16 months apart so I will say that now that they are in school it is MUCH easier, just because i get a little time int he day. My 4 yo is still around and just as busy as ever!

To think I use to be the prisyy ballet girl!

I'm not exactly a good example-I'm eating chocolate pretzels as we speak...but I'm determined to drop the yummy bad-as-crap for you food and walk my food loving body into some healthier habits...I swear...I think...I need to...8~)

I need to be a better example for my children even though they are college age
