Week 3 can be as hard or as pleasant as you make it. I do not want to jinx you but this week is typically where people in the boot camp or following along hit a little bit of a wall. It is inevitable. Just like plateaus are reached when losing weight over a long period of time, slumps can happen during intense lifestyle-changing programs.
I thought I would dedicate this carnival week introduction to what to do when we hit these walls. First assess if you really have hit a wall. Think of your efforts and your nutrition to determine if you have maximized your exercise in a sustainable way with a balanced dietary effort. If you have and you feel like you are feeling run down physically or emotionally then you have hit a slump. Still stick with your efforts if you are on a plan but maximize as much rest as you can away from your plan. If the slump interferes with your regiment then you may need to alter what you are doing. Above all be gentle on yourself. Don't backslide into old habits. Keep moving forward and know that rest is an integral part of the work you are doing.

On Friday I started the Cinch Five Day Fastfoward (the twitter party suckered me in!). So far so good, I have lost 4 lbs since Friday! 1.5 of those were "relost" because I picked them up after eating out and traveling for a few days...but the other 2.5 are new! lol
