Serving Sizes & Nutrition:
Grains, 1 serving size =1/2 cup pasta=1/3 cup rice=1 slice bread=1/2 cup oatmeal.
A bagel can be up to 5 servings of grains depending on the size.
The following fat sources are not recommended: peanut oil, corn oil OR palm oil.
Calculating salad for veggies is different.
1 cup of salad=1/2 serving, so 2 cups of salad=1 serving.
No iceberg lettuce.
Deep red or green leaves preferred.
Watch out for the dressing.
Try using your fork to dip into dressing before you eat salad instead. You'll use less

How to describe your workouts:
Rate Perceived Exertion (monitor how hard you’re working)
RPE 1-2 Very easy, you can talk without any effort.
RPE 3: Easy, you can almost talk without any effort
RPE 4 Moderately easy, you can talk comfortably talk without effort
RPE 5 Moderate, requires some effort to talk
RPE 6 moderately hard, requires a bit of effort to talk
RPE 7 Difficult, requires a lot of effort to talk
RPE 8 Very difficult requires maximum effort to talk.
RPE 9-10 Maximum effort, no talking

I started the challenge today with the rest of the Sisahood! I am excited - I also decided to apply for the Mamavation Boot Camp, below is my video (no judgement please, I kept thinking I should get all ready, and then have someone record it for me, and all this but I knew that if I waited I would procrastinate and never get it done SOO I went into the bathroom while the kids were busy and did my video, LOL).
So excited to be joining!

Have you guys heard that Exercise TV is closing down in December? They have a crazy sale on DVDs going on, some are $1! I've used some of their Jiliian workouts and Cindy what's-her-name in the past, so thinking of ordering some a they are good value.
